Description
Mytel Hosted PBX provides businesses with the features of an IP PBX without:
- the up front investment in IP PBX hardware;
- ongoing software customisation and upgrade costs;
- day-to-day management and support issues.
The IP PBX equipment resides in Mytel's data centre supported by our 24 hour system monitoring. Software management, IP PBX programming and upgrades are the responsibility of Mytel.
Mytel Hosted PBX has distinct advantages over outright ownership of your own IP PBX, for example geographic relocations and remote access for teleworkers are easily facilitated. Mytel's online management portal enables businesses to monitor enterprise telephony activity, configure and manage services and provide end users with advanced calls features.
Applications
Mytel's Hosted PBX is an appropriate solution where:
- The enterprise is geographically dispersed but wishes to appear to customers as one unified organisation with central or multiple call management/monitoring points.
- The enterprise wishes to evaluate migration to IP telephony without significant investment in hardware, software and technical support.
- There are a number of smaller geographic locations (1-5 staff at each) and the investment in an IP PBX at each location cannot be justified.
- A flexible phone system is required that will provide staff with the ability to relocate quickly and seamlessly between offices/home and possibly overseas without disrupting telecommunications.
Hosted PBX may be inappropriate from a cost perspective where:
- The enterprise is based in one location with a large number of extensions (100+).
- Advanced features are required such as internal billing per extension, CRM integration with your customer database or call centre functionality.
Features
Mytel's Hosted PBX offers a vast variety of features that will help increase productivity and reduce communication costs.
The following list provides an indication of the Mytel Hosted PBX features:
Ordinary phone services
Other than standard calling at low rates to local, National, Fixed to Mobile and International calling Mytel's Hosted PBX also offers Caller ID, call forwarding, and 3-way calling.
Advanced Phone features
Auto Attendant - the phone system answers the calls with either a short message asking the caller to wait for an operator or and asks the caller to make a selection from a list of departments/areas of interest.
In-Dial Number - Traditional PSTN telephone number allocated per extension.
Voicemail - Voicemail sent to user via email.
Softswitch - Reception telephone monitoring via a web interface of engaged and available extensions, call conference set up, calls in queue and call setup by reception.
More advanced features are being developed at present. Please call to discuss your requirements.
Pricing
There is a $49 setup fee for your Hosted PBX, then an ongoing commitment of $25 per month (exclusive of any minimum call spend) and includes:
- One In-Dial Number number
- IVR Greeting at entry level In-Dial Number
- Configuration of sub group extensions such as sales, support, administration groups (not geographically dependant)
- Voicemail to email
- Advanced call management
Each extension on your Hosted PBX will be on the IP Office plan at $12.95 per month and includes an individual In-Dial Number.
