Mytel can provide your business with a dedicated interconnect in the form of a TLAN (Transparent Local Area Network) using a range of technologies including ADSL, SHDSL, Metro Ethernet, Wireless Link or Fibre. Mytel is proud to be a Premier Partner of NEC Nextep and a reseller of Nextep's TLAN services.
The interconnect circuits provide dedicated business grade access for the purposes of sending and receiving VoIP traffic to and from Mytel. There is no access to the Public Internet on these circuits.
Mytel has partnered with NEC/Nextep to supply last mile DSL and Metro Ethernet tails for this purpose.
What does it cost?
Pricing of links is based upon the interconnect circuit type, contention, speed and geographic location(s) of each site. As each customer's requirements tend to be unique, costs are only available after confirming the anticipated traffic requirements and alternative DSL technologies available at each site.
Connect several sites with your own private Wide Area Network (WAN)
Mytel also provides managed private network circuits to customers looking to create their own dedicated WAN between several of their own sites. Mytel uses NEC/Nextep's TLAN service to create separate dedicated networks.
How does it work?
TLAN or transparent local area network enables multiple sites to be connected to a single Layer 2 Ethernet switched network.
TLAN is a Private Network based on Layer 2 Virtual LAN (VLAN) technology. The logic-based VLAN technology is secure and reliable, and allows IP layer independence for customers.
