Mytel’s teleconferencing service allows you to conduct teleconferences anytime, day or night, without ever having to call and make a reservation. Simply use your own online booking interface to set a conference date, register attendees and monitor conference attendance during the conference.

Your attendees don’t need to have access to a VoIP phone or even Internet access. All attendees enter the meeting via traditional Mytel In-Dial Numbers, using their standard keypad to enter a PIN code and mute and unmute their voice.

+  Are there any differences between a traditional teleconference and a VoIP teleconference?

Well, yes, there are 3 major differences between a VoIP teleconference and a traditional teleconference:

  • The cost of a VoIP teleconference is much lower than the old teleconference methods.
  • VoIP teleconferencing allows you to control the conference via a web based interface.
  • Each of your chosen telephone access numbers is dedicated to your teleconferencing service and with a distinct welcome message recorded with your organisations branding and welcome message. Your attendees don’t need to know that you’re using a hosted service.

+  What is the per minute cost for each attendee?

Mytel’s teleconferencing is not billed on a per minute basis.

Our charges are based on a monthly access fee for a set number of conferences per month. For example, to reserve 2 teleconferences per month for 10 attendees each with a maximum duration of 3 hours Mytel charges $90 per month. This means that you know exactly what you’re going to be billed before you start your conference.

+  Is there a setup fee or long-term commitment?

No, there’s no setup fee. You can cancel your account at any time. Just provide us with at least 5 days notice before the start of your next months billing period.

+  If I don’t need VoIP how can this be VoIP Teleconferencing?

Mytel utilise their VoIP Network to trunk your attendees’ audio back to a central server where the various audio streams are combined to into a single conference stream. Each attendee dials a local access number to enter the conference.
