Fax Broadcast is a means of quickly circulating news or promotional materials to an existing customer database or list of prospects. Fax Broadcasts can also be an economical means of reaffirming an offer or message sent by one of several other mediums (eg post, email and / or print advertising).
Typical transmissions are one page in length with black text and / or images appearing on a white background. Grayscale images are sometimes used however transmission times are typically longer. Fax machines that support colour images are available but not widely used.
Mytel's Fax Broadcast service
Mytel offers a wholesale fax broadcast service that has a capacity of approximately 5 million pages per month. The service is not suited to customers who have a requirement for transmissions of less than 1000 pages per month.
To maintain the highest quality of service, Mytel's equipment is directly connected to multiple ISDN circuits. We do not use VoIP or Fax over IP to complete transmissions.

Mytel's web portal is used to create a fax campaign and schedule a transmission.
Step by step instructions
- Log into your account here http://fax.mytel.net.au
- Upload your number list(s)
- Upload your document(s) in pdf format
- Create a campaign(s), attaching the appropriate fax number list and fax document when prompted. You will be asked to specify a date and a time to commence transmission. A stop time can also be inserted if your campaign must be completed before a certain hour of the day
- Log out from the interface
Fax number data is not available from Mytel.
Pricing
Wholesale pricing commences at $6.6c inc gst per page. Customers with large volumes should contact Mytel sales for a quotation.
Invoicing
Invoicing occurs automatically at the end of each day, and emails an invoice to the customer on days when faxing has taken place.
